Do I need experience or a degree?

For the general track, no. You need fluent written English and the patience to follow instructions exactly. A degree only matters for the expert track.

How much can I actually make?

I will not give you a number, because I do not know your test result, your country, or your hours. What I can tell you is what the platforms advertise: roughly $15–25 an hour for general work, $40+ on some expert tracks. Whether you get there is genuinely not in my control.

Does this work outside the United States?

Yes, but which platforms are open to you depends on where you are. The map lists accepted countries for each one, and there is a whole section on getting paid without a US bank account.
